This book is a interesting book about a boy who sufffers from severe asthma. He has also has suffered the loss of his father. Since then he has three severe asthma attacks that have nearly killed him each time. To escape the pain of their loss his mother, Sarah ,moves the two of them to a remote house full of spirts. The ghost children believe that the boy can not only see them, but can also talk to them. Come to find out he actually can, but the ghost mother does not want the new boy to comunnicate with the children. This is because the boy might not trust the Ghost Mother. It is a good story with twists and turns throughout the book that will keep you interested, but I must warn you there are some slow parts. So if you just tough it out you will find out how good this book really is.

Did you ever wish you could spend just one more day with a loved one who has passed on? Chick gets a chance to do just that with his mother. He returns to the house where he grew up and where his mother died eight years before, only to find her still living there and carrying on her day to day life. He ends up spending a strange, but wonderful day with her and she answers questions about events in his childhood that he had never resolved. A beautiful book with a wonderful message.

The boy, Josh, catches the home invader by hitting him in the back of the head with a mop bucket. Who is gonna catch a bad guy by hitting him/her in the head with a pail? Dumb, huh? So if you just need to read a book for an AR test read it, but otherwise don’t waste your time. -Lacy M.

Kicked Out is a good book. There is nothing really exciting about the book. There is a good story to it. It is about a girl named Dime. She isn’t a horrible child; her parents just don’t know how to handle her so they decide to let her move in with her brother, Darren. He is a quadraplegic and he needs her to cook for him. She hangs out with a crowd called the “headbangers.” They like to listen to their music really loud. She is dating the hottest guy from their group and he, as she says, “has a hot bod and a bike,” which is why she really likes him. But the longer she lives with her brother, he teaches her things and helps her to realize the bike guy is a jerk and her brother helps her discover that her relationship with her parents can be fixed. Even if it doesn’t ever go back to normal, they can have a good relationship.

This is a really good book to read if you don’t like to read, because it is easy to read and it isn’t really long and boring. I read the whole thing in like 2 days.
